It only took me two and a half years but I finally have exercised my will upon my nanosystem. Above you see two samples. Both are the same block copolymer and both are the same type of nanocrystal. The light regions of the fingerprint are polystyrene (styrofoam) and the dark regions are polymethymethacrylate (plexiglass). The bright specks are cadmium selenide. The cool thing about these images is that simply by changing the chemicals that are attached to the surface of the nanoparticles, I can selectively put them in either domain of the copolymer. Now that this is accomplished, there is actually an inside chance I'll eventually get a PhD and force you all to refer to me as Doc from here on out.

HURRAH! Now, if I had any earthly idea what you said I would be REALLLLLLY impressed
Oh Arch Chemist, Knower of All Things That Smell Bad and Good I suppose,
I have questions, questions, questions on the pictures and the whole experience of discoverin the success.
Big old Congratulatory Hugs,
Mom
Ummmm...cool. Either that or terribly, terribly dangerous. Will wait for further clarification.
